I saw the type of image on a photography forum I regularly browse and decided to see if I could duplicate it. For this image I pre-focused my camera about 10 feet in front of the plate and waited for the ball to be released. It took a few tries to get it down. But, I think it does have a very different look to it. It is pretty much just a matter of timing, as in any form of sports photography. It's all about timing.Always looking for a different point of view....
