FRISBIE'S WALKOFF HOMERUN ENDS FIRST GAME/SETTERS EXPLODE IN GAME TWO


Christina Pane (Stony Point, NY/Cardinal Spellman) broke the school single season record for hits as her second hit in the fourth inning of game two gave her 68 on the season and eclipsed the old record set by Tess Bair with 67 in 2003. In the opener, a pitching dual ended in the ninth inning as Alton Frisbie (Indian Hills, CO/Conifer) saw one pitch in the ninth and blasted it over the fence in left field to give the Setters a 1-0 win, while the Setters exploded for 11 runs in the fourth as they completed the sweep with an 11-1 romp in the nightcap. The Setters end the regular season with a 28-18 overall and 16-12 in the Northeast-10, while Bentley drops to 20-20 and 13-11 in conference play.

BASEBALL SPLITS DOUBLEHEADER WITH UMASS LOWELL


The Pace University baseball team, ranked second in the latest NCAA Division II Baseball Northeast Region Poll, split a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader with the University of Massachusetts - Lowell today at Finnerty Field on the Pleasantville campus of Pace. The River Hawks took the first game 6-2, as the Setters came back in game two with the 5-3 victory to salvage the split. Pace moves to 28-15-1 overall on the season and 17-6-1 in the NE-10, while UMass – Lowell goes to 21-20 on the year and 15-9 in conference play.

PACE SOFTBALL SWEEPS UMASS LOWELL


Setter starters Kiryl Shada (Pleasant Prairie, WI/Tremper) and Alicia Parlon (Norton, MA/Norton) tossed a pair of complete game gems as Pace swept a doubleheader from UMass Lowell taking the opener 2-0 and completed the sweep 4-1 in the nightcap. The Setters improve 24-18 and 12-12 in the Northeast-10, while the River Hawks drop to 22-20 and 15-7 in conference play.

BU men's tennis knocks off strong Army squad 4-3


Binghamton University men's tennis (11-9) won four of the six singles matches to pull out a 4-3 win over host Army Wednesday afternoon at West Point. After dropping the doubles point and the top two singles matches, BU rallied for wins at third through sixth singles to snare the win - their fifth in the last seven matches and first-ever over the Black Knights (14-6), who sit atop the Patriot League.

Pace Baseball Defeats Merrimack 4-1


The Pace University baseball team, behind a solid performance from starting pitcher junior Zach Dayton (North Falmouth, MA/Falmouth), defeated the Warriors of Merrimack College by the score of 4-1 in Northeast-10 Conference action this afternoon at Finnerty Field. With the win, the Setters improve to 22-12 on the season and 12-3 in the NE-10, while the Warriors fall to 12-17 overall, 9-8 in conference play.

PACE FALLS TO BRYANT 17-7


The Pace men’s lacrosse lost to Bryant University 17-7 in Northeast-10 Conference action. The Setters drop to 6-4 overall and 3-2 in the NE-10, while Bulldogs improve to 8-3 and 5-1 in conference play.

No. 13 Army Takes Down No. 6 Navy, 9-6, In Annual Star Game


Army senior attackman Justin Bokmeyer scored three goals, while junior attackman Jason Peyer added two goals and two assists to lead the 17/13 Black Knights over 6/6 Navy, 9-6, on Senior Day at Michie Stadium in the annual Star Game, Saturday.

PACE CRUISES PAST AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL 18-5


The Pace men’s lacrosse scored eight man-up goals to fly past the Yellow Jackets of American International 18-5 in Northeast-10 Conference action. The Setters improve to 6-3 overall and 3-1 in the NE-10, while American International drop to 1-6 and 0-6 in conference play.

Softball Sweeps Holy Cross In Patriot League Twinbill


Senior right-hand starter Veronica Barth scattered two hits in the first game and three in the second as Army shut out Holy Cross 10-0 in five innings in the first game and 3-0 in the nightcap Saturday afternoon in a Patriot League doubleheader at the Army Softball Complex.
