Patriot League Quarterfinals
American University used a dominating performance on the glass to win its Patriot League quarterfinal against Colgate, 70-46, in women's basketball action on Saturday at Christl Arena. The Eagles out-rebounded the Raiders 38-19 to advance to the conference semifinals Sunday at 1 p.m. against the winner of the Army/Bucknell match-up.

Junior forward Kathy Gruzynski (Elk Grove, Ill.) scored 16 points including 10 in the second half as the second-seeded Holy Cross women's basketball team downed seventh-seeded Navy, 67-53, during the 2008 Patriot League Tournament Quarterfinals today at Christl Arena. Holy Cross jumped out to a 17-10 lead in the first nine minutes but Navy went on a 7-0 run led by Angela Myers with five points. Holding the Crusaders scoreless for over five minutes, Navy got back into the game, tying the game 17-17.

Amanda Brown hit a 3-pointer from the right wing with 0.7 seconds left in overtime to give the fifth-seeded Bucknell women's basketball team a 50-47 victory over fourth-seeded Army in the Patriot League Tournament quarterfinals Saturday at Christl Arena. Brown tallied a game-high 19 points, including 13 in the second half and overtime, as the Bison advanced to the semifinals for the fifth time in seven years.

After dropping two games to Lafayette during the regular season, Lehigh got its chance to avenge those loses, and it made the most of it, coming away with a 62-51 win over the Leopards in the quarterfinal round of the Patriot League Tournament at Christl Arena in West Point, N.Y. Erica Prosser and Alex Ross each scored a game high 16 points for the Mountain Hawks, who improve to 18-12 on the year.
