Army Skates To 1-1 Tie With Holy Cross


Robb Ross scored early in the third period but neither team was able to net a goal the rest of the way as Army and Holy Cross skated to a 1-1 tie, Saturday night in Atlantic Hockey Association action at a sold out Tate Rink. A capacity crowd of 2,674 was on hand as Army extended its unbeaten streak to seven games by skating to its third tie of the season.

Brown's Buzzer Beater Lifts Black Knights To OT Win


Jarell Brown's jumper as time expired in overtime lifted the Army men's basketball team to a 59-57 victory over Colgate on Saturday afternoon at Christl Arena. The victory snapped the Black Knights' seven-game losing streak to the Raiders and evened Army's record to 11-11 overall and 4-4 in conference play.

Kassel Extends Shutout Streak, Army Wins


Josh Kassel posted his second straight shutout and Bryce Hollweg and Jeff Fearing scored goals as Army moved into a tie for first-place in the Atlantic Hockey Association standings with a 2-0 victory over Holy Cross, Friday night at Tate Rink. Army won its sixth straight game and improved to 12-12-3 overall and 12-7-2 in league place and moved into a tie atop the standings with RIT, which was idle.

More Honors For Army Goalie Josh Kassel


Army goalie Josh Kassel has been named the Army Athletic Association Athlete of the Week and the Atlantic Hockey Association Goalie of the Week for his performance in a pair of wins against Connecticut. Last week, Kassel was the co-Army Athletic Association Athlete of the Week and the AHA Goalie of the Week after allowing two goals in identical 2-1 wins against Air Force.

Bigger Lineup Helps Lead Bucknell Women's Basketball to 47-46 Victory at Army


In a back-and-forth affair which featured six ties and 13 lead changes, the Bucknell Bison knocked off first-place Army by a 47-46 score in Patriot League women's basketball action on Sunday afternoon.

Erickson Makes Career High 45 Saves in Loss to Army


WEST POINT, N.Y. (February 2, 2008) - Beau Erickson (Hinton, Iowa) made a career high 45 saves as the University of Connecticut men's hockey team fell 6-0 to Army Saturday night in West Point. The Huskies fall to 8-15-4 overall and 7-10-3 in the Atlantic Hockey Association. The Black Knights improve to 11-12-3 and 11-7-2.

Stifling Defense, Three Goals Carries Army Hockey


Bryce Hollweg and Luke Flicek each had a goal and assist and a stifling defense held Connecticut to just 16 shots on goal as Army beat the Huskies, 3-1, Friday night in an Atlantic Hockey Association matchup at Tate Rink. Army scored more than two goals for the first time since Nov. 30 and limited Connecticut to two shots in the third period and three in the first period.
